Classes, Workshops, and Camps

Winter Classes

Acting Foundations : ages 11-13 Instructor Alisa Mehlo, Mondays 6:00-7:30pm OR Fridays 10-11:30am

 This fun course teaches the basics of acting to ages 10-13, utilizing vocal/physical training, theatre games and improvisation. Students acquire improved communication skills and self-confidence for performance. The class will end with a showcase in one of our classrooms, so family and friends can see all of the fun and hard work that was put in throughout the semester. Classes take place for nine weeks and are limited to 12 students. 

Acting 101 : ages 14-17 Instructor Caren Hearne, Thursdays - 6:00- 8:00pm OR Fridays 12-2pm

 By working on scene study skills, building relationships with their fellow actors, and channeling their imagination, teen actors build confidence and gain the tools they need to make a script their own. This class will provide the student with the context for developing acting skills and techniques. Through improv, games and scene work, students will understand the importance of self discipline and regular practice and rehearsal. They will begin to develop their own interpretative skills so that they can perform a role using a personal and unique artistic style. Classes will take place for  nine weeks and is limited to 12 students. 

Creative Dramatics PM : ages 3-5 Instructor Alisa Mehlo Wednesdays 5:30pm to 6:15pm

 Allow children ages 3-5 to enjoy the feeling of trying something new and making new friends! Students will be introduced to theatrical concepts by exploring various theatre games, art projects and songs in this fun and exciting class. The class will end with a showcase in one of our classrooms, so family and friends can see all of the fun and hard work that was put in throughout the semester. Classes will take place for nine weeks and are limited to 10 students . 

Creative Dramatics AM: ages 5-7 Instructor Alisa Mehlo Wednesdays, 10-11am

 Allow children ages 5-7 to enjoy the feeling of trying something new and making new friends! Students will be introduced to theatrical concepts by exploring various theatre games, art projects and songs in this fun and exciting class. The class will end with a showcase so family and friends can see all of the fun and hard work that was put in throughout the semester.   

The World's My Stage: ages 6-8 Instructor Alisa Mehlo Wednesdays 6:30pm to 7:15pm

 This exciting class is for younger actors ages 6-8 who are ready to start their training. Students learn to create characters, build ensemble, and use their voice to project and articulate while having a lot of fun. The class will end with a showcase in one of our classrooms, so family and friends can see all of the fun and hard work that was put in throughout the semester. Classes  is limited to 12 students. 

Acting Adventures: ages 8-10 Instructor Alisa Mehlo Wednesdays, 11:30-12:45

 This program introduces youngsters to performing! The class will focus on movement, listening and rhythm games, speaking, acting, and improvisation. Students will also be preparing for the Class Showcase, a short presentation of what they have learned through the semester. The goal is to help children learn from both the instruction as well as the experience of performing. Class is limited to 12 students.
